– About –
Arohanui Film Festival showcases new, entertaining, original and adventurous films from around the world on the big screen at Future Te Aroha, a former bra factory that has been converted to a multi purpose non-profit facility for community and cultural use.
Film enthusiasts will gather for a weekend of inspiration, education and to watch films classified for the event.
Founded by prolific artist and teacher Lynne Renwick, who received the 2009 Queens Service Medal (QSM) for her service to theatre and youth in South Auckland.
The event includes Q&A sessions with industry professionals as well as DIY filmmakers.
Te Aroha is an historic and vibrant spa town in Waikato, New Zealand. Only fifteen minutes from Hobbiton, surrounded by the serene countryside of Ash Vs Evil Dead, while the cinematic Kaimai mountain range leads to the beaches where Pevensie children arrived in ancient Narnia.
The best way to get to Te Aroha is by car, but once you're in the town almost everything is within walking distance.
